The Half Moon Music Festival is a yearly showcase of the area's best talent held on the shores of Watts Bar Lake. Now in it's 13th season, the festival hosts over 1000 visitors - either by boat or by land. Be sure to come out early to get your spot and be a part of one of East Tennessee's most enjoyable events.
Here is the line up from 2011:
| 1 pm - The Streamliners (Big Band) This Knoxville based band consists of the region's finest young jazz musicians and plays the hard-swinging music of Duke Ellington and Count Basie |
| 3 pm - East TN Concert Band (Semi-Classical) This symphonic, classical band is comprised of a mix of both professional and amateur musicians from all walks of life that join together to create some of the areas best classical music |
| 4:30 pm - The Possum Hunters (Bluegrass) This six-piece bluegrass band provides high energy, foot stompin' bluegrass music that appeals to people of all ages |
If coming by boat - they are located in Blue Springs Cove (across from MM545.3 and close to Blue Springs Marina)
If coming by car - they are located at 118 Christley Lane off of River Road in Roane County.
