Movies at the Princess: American Grafitti

MAP IT

Harriman Tourism and Roane State’s Arts and Lectures Committee cordially invite you to a free movie night during Cruisin’ on June 10th! American Graffiti (rated PG; 1973) was one of the most popular movies of the 1970’s, portraying the coming-of-age tale of two ordinary high school grads enjoying one last night of fun and irresponsibility before they leave their hometown for college. The vintage 1950’s and 1960’s feeling to the movie leaves indelible images as a huge and talented cast bring to life unforgettable characters and moments that are both humorous and bittersweet. Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Cindy Williams, Wolfman Jack, Harrison Ford, and Suzanne Somers are only a few of the stars featured. The American Film Institute ranks American Graffiti as one of the top 100 greatest movies of all time, and director George Lucas was given an Oscar nomination for his work writing and directing this film.
